- 3 Cups Chicken broth
- 1 ½ Cups White rice
- 1 Cup Whole milk
- 1 Tbsp. Olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion powder
- 1 Cup Sharp Cheddar cheese
- 2 Cups Fresh Broccoli florets
Instructions
- In a medium sized pan, stir together the chicken broth, milk, olive oil, garlic powder, and onion powder over medium heat. When it comes to a boil, add the rice.
- Lower the heat to a simmer and place a lid on the pot. Allow the rice to cook for 12-15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, add the broccoli ON TOP, do not stir. Cook another 5-8 minutes checking the broccoli is partially cooked. Take it off the heat and stir.
- Stir in the cheese until the cheese has melted.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and bake at 350°F for 25 minutes, or until the edges are bubbly.
