- 1 lb. Ground Beef
- 1 (28 oz) Can Tomato sauce
- 1 (14 ounce) Can crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 Cup Water
- ½ Onion, diced
- 2 Garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- ½ teaspoon Dried basil and Oregano
- ½ teaspoon Sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon Pepper
- 8-10 Lasagna noodles broken
- 1 Cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese
Instructions
- Add 1 Tablespoon of oil to a large skillet and heat it over medium/high heat. Add the ground sausage and cook breaking up with a spoon. Once the sausage is half way cooked add the diced onion. Stir and continue cooking until the onion is translucent and soft and sausage is cooked through.
- Add the minced garlic. Cook for an additional 30 seconds.
- Add the tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, water and sugar to the skillet. Stir to combine.
- Add seasonings and stir. Break the lasagna noodles over the skillet and add to the sauce. Press the noodles down as much as possible into the sauce. Cover the pan and allow to simmer over medium heat for about 15-20 minutes stirring occasionally.
- Once the noodles are softened add the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Stir to combine.
- Take off the heat and allow to sit for 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
