Grilled Honey Lime Chicken Wings & Drumsticks

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. Chicken wings and drumsticks
  • 1 Tbsp. Chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • Juice of 2 limes, plus lime zest
  • 2 Tbsp. Apple cider vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. Butter, melted
  • 2 Tbsp. Honey
  • 1 Tbsp. Hot sauce (adjust to taste)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the chili powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder to make a dry rub.
  3. Pat the chicken wings and drumsticks dry with paper towels, then season them evenly with the dry rub.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the lime juice, apple cider vinegar, butter, honey, and hot sauce to make the honey lime sauce.
  5. Place the seasoned chicken pieces on the preheated grill and cook for about 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally, or until they are cooked through and nicely charred.
  6. During the last 10 minutes of grilling, brush the chicken pieces with the honey lime sauce, turning and basting them frequently until they are evenly coated and caramelized.
  7. Remove the grilled chicken wings and drumsticks from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  8. Brush with extra sauce!
